Margaret Lo's picnic in the park

Which park would you go to?
Central Park, New York City - on a beautiful Sunday.

Why?
NYC is one of my "homes" and I miss it sometimes.

Who would you go with?
My daughter Ilana (aged 3) and my husband John.

What would you take to the park?
- a book Deborah Cameron's Verbal Hygiene.
- a CD Bach Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin, Henryk Szerying (DG).
- a magazine Saveur.
- a video to watch later Home movies of Ilana when she was 1.
- anything else? Bicycles.

Inside your picnic basket what would you take
- to eat?
fresh poppyseed bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon, salads from Zabars.
- to drink? good coffee, fresh juice.

Who would you like to meet in the park?
Friends I rarely get to see because they're scattered around the world.

What would you talk about?
memories, children, teaching, food, family, mountains....

What would you do afterwards?
We'd go bookstore hopping down Broadway.
